Risk Management Analyst

Our client is a large and growing Canadian-owned global company, and an industry leader. This exciting opportunity is suited to those who excel at risk and control identification, assessment and mitigation, facilitation and report writing, and problem-solving. Located in the North GTA, the Risk & Control Analyst leads the risk and control self-assessment process from the planning stages through the identification, documentation and monitoring of risks, to ensure that appropriate action is taken to mitigate risks; organizes and conducts pre-workshop interviews with management; prepares presentations and effectively facilitates workshops; conducts analysis and post-workshop interviews and prepares self-assessment reports for senior management; liaises with business areas to ensure that risks are addressed through implementation of effective action plans; documents certain business processes or controls; develops action plans to investigate identified weaknesses in operational internal controls; assists in developing Risk and Control team's work plan (annual and monthly); participates in other self-assessment processes and special projects or audits/reviews as required; reviews and concludes on the work performed by the Claims Audit Analysts and assists the Risk and Control Manager in quarterly and other reporting to Chief Risk Officer and committee(s). The successful candidate will be pursuing, or completed a Risk designation and have two to four years of risk experience in any relevant field (Internal control, ERM, Audit etc.) Strong written and verbal communication (including facilitation), problem-solving.
